AMS Support
The Federation Sim Fleet is supported by one of the best group management systems in the simming world today. The Federation Sim Fleet Account Management System version 2.0 is custom made by FSF programmers for use within the FSF only.
The Federation Sim Fleet developers are constantly working to expand the AMS to better serve the simmers, hosts, and administrators of the FSF (see: ams updates). The AMS is a complex system. It would be almost impossible to list information about every piece of the AMS. What we will try to do is list helpful information for the most common problems and list information as to what to do if the AMS system is ever down.
The main Federation Sim Fleet website as well as Stargate Games website is completly AMS driven, so if the AMS is ever down these pages will not be accessible EVEN IF http access is still available through our main server. Check server status here.
If you are experiencing problems logging in, discontinue temporary use of any OpenId login and use the AMS username and password login option and/or refer to the steps below.
The absolute first thing you need to do is click this link: http://www.sb254.com/include/remove_cookies.php. Then try to login again.
If you still have problems logging in then click the link above again and then be very careful and type your username and password very slowly to insure that you are typing everything correct.
If the above two steps do not work then click the top link AGAIN and then go here: http://www.sb254.com/forgotpassword.php. Then try to login again with your new password.
If NONE of the above steps work then please submit a bug report. Please note that if the http server or the AMS is down then this would account for your inability to login. Please do not submit a bug report regarding this issue if the http server, ams, or forums are down. Revisit your login issue once these (if any) server/system outages are resolved.
To better understand the OpenId login system please see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenID.
If you are able to login with your AMS username and password but are unable to login with an OpenID login then please submit a bug report.

There are three ways to report problems to us.
- Submit a bug report - If you are able to login to the FSF AMS and are experiencing a problem then submit a big report.
- Help & Assistance Forums - If you are unable to login to the FSF AMS and/or cannot access the bug report form then post to the Help & Assistance forum to alert us to your problem. Be descriptive and allow us a way to contact you if we need to.
- Emergency Procedures - If the above two options are not available to you and there is a critical problem (server down, mass website outages, forums or AMS down) and the problem IS NOT reported on the front page of this help website then follow the listed Emergency Procedures. These procedures should be a last resort and SHOULD NOT be used to report small problems like script errors or login errors.

Email address information is the absolute most important piece of information for the FSF to maintain. It is so important that we keep accurate email information for all members in the FSF.
- Changing email addresses: http://www.sb254.com/changeemail.php. You must login to the FSF AMS first. This is accessible from your account.
- Attach additional email addresses: http://www.sb254.com/manageemails.php. You must login to the FSF AMS first. This is accessible from your account.
- Deleting email addresses - At current the FSF AMS is not set up to allow you to delete email addresses. You can eliminate emails being sent to email addresses by removing them from any characters and mailinglists.

The FSF Message Center is the perfect way to correspond with FSF members without burdening the email servers or hasseling with an email program. We encourage everyone to utilize the messaging center as often as possible. If you do not want to utilize the message center then you may choose to have your message center messages forwarded to your email account. Access your email preferences here: http://www.sb254.com/preferences.php. You must login to the FSF AMS first. This is accessible from your account.

The FSF has began moving away from streamline mailing lists like yahoogroups in favor of mailinglists supported by us, the FSF. The FSF mailinglists are supported by a dual combination of support from both the FSF AMS and the FSF Forums. In order to join an FSF mailinglist you must be registered on the FSF Forums with the email address of the same one assigned to your FSF AMS account. Based on your email address, forum usergroup assignments, and ams settings you have a list of "possible" lists that you could be subscribed to. Any list you cannot join will be gray. You may access this list here: http://www.sb254.com/subscriptions.php. You must login to the FSF AMS first. This is accessible from your account.
